Shop Front Signs & Signage
This shop front sign for Bacchus Wine Bar was produced using traditional signwriting on an external painted wall. Self adhesive lettering needs a smooth surface to stick to, it will fall of most walls unless they're glass smooth or highly glossed. The answer for a long lasting sign on a wall is to paint the sign on using traditional signwriting methods.
This lettering is cut from 6mm. thick Perspex (acrylic sheet). Each letter would normally have 3 or 4 nylon fixings to hold it to the wall, fascia or shop front. This method is impractical on an uneven stone wall, so we glued the letters to clear perspex and fixed that to the wall. This sign still looks fresh and clean after 12 years.
Shop Front Signs in Gold leaf
